Washing Italian Ribbon!

I so love the table runner Nati made with our Italian 100% Cotton Ribbon, it’s fabulous and the colors are delicious! To show just how wonderful this ribbon washes up,  I whipped up this little bag.

I used a piece of pre-washed linen I had lying around, stamped on one side and stitched the ribbon on the other.  Then, instead of hand washing in a tub of soapy water, I simply threw it in the washing machine with a load of clothes.

After washing and drying (just enough so that it was still damp), it came out a bit wrinkled, but that’s the nature of linen.

After pressing the bag, I think it looks great!

As you can see the colors didn’t fade at all. They are just as bright and crisp as before they were washed.

Which Italian Ribbon is your favorite? Fettuccia with it’s tighter weave? or loosely woven Passamano?   Our Italian Ribbon Packs are a great way to try it out!
